Went thrifting the other day with my sister. It was really fun looking through each racks and what the store had to offer. Even neater when I saw a couple of fashionistas trying to hunt for some awesome finds. I came out with two treasures: a belt and a bag that I'm thinking of putting studs on the bag strap.

In other news, some sort of alien invasion took over my skin (mostly my arms and legs) since Friday morning. I'm in the middle of trying to find the source to this problem, but considering nothing has changed on my end I have no idea what could have been haunting me. So in the mean time, I'm hibernating in my room and away from the public eye, while dedicating my life to That 70s Show, Arrested Development, and Sims 3 (hahaha).

blazer, blouse, & shorts: H&M

My lazy day outfit usually revolves around a blazer and a french braid. It's quick, easy, and no fussing is necessary. By the way, is anyone else obsessed with sheer clothing like I am? I love how it brings an interesting twist to an outfit. I also have been eyeing this Cheap Monday Maxi Skirt for the longest time! Itching to purchase it the moment ASOS stocks up.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I was bitten by the creativity bug...

It started with this website: http://the3rsblog.wordpress.com

And I knew I wanted a Starburst Light of my own!

Quite the tedious 1.5 day worth of work. I think by the time I was on my 463th strip of paper, I cursed myself for taking on this project. Though the only thing that kept me going and stopped me from throwing the light fixture out of the window was the end results. I love how beautifully it came out!

This shall be a new addition to my apartment back in Uni. My belated housewarming present for it :)

Materials: Paper lamp, translucent paper, and glue

When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire

Three months into my first year of university, my taste in music changed drastically. I went from listening to all types of music to strictly indie music. Radiohead was my first stepping stone, and slowly as the years goes by, my iTunes was filled by artists such as Death Cab For Cutie, Imogen Heap, Fujiya & Miyagi, Arctic Monkeys, Scanners, and many more.

This year NXNE hosted a music festival from June 13 to June 19, and my must see show was yesterday's event: Stars & Land of Talk playing at Young & Dundas Square. A couple of friends and I checked in the area about 30 mins before the event started and managed to get ourselves close to the front of the stage!

Diamond Rings - great music and interesting stage personality

Although I haven't gone to many concerts, yesterday's event was amazing!

What I wore:

Besides that, I broke my 1.5 months shopping ban, and for a good reason too! After two very long and complicated years of my life, about two weeks ago I received great news from my University. Starting this September 2011, I'll be studying as a Radiograpy (X-ray) technician! So of course I was going to get a congratulation present for myself :D

Give Me Back My Heart Attack!

blazer, top, shorts & tights: H&M | knee high socks: GAP | belt: vintage

Random fact #1: I'm easily prone to the cold. So if Toronto has a 15+ km/h wind chill on a summer day, I will freeze to death!

If you listen to Stars or Land Of Talk, they're holding a free concert at Young & Dundas Square from 7-10p.m. this Friday!

Edit - June 16 2011:
I was struck by the I-can't-sleep-bug, so decided to make use of my time.

After seeing xJole's blog revamp, I was reminded that I needed to make a new banner for this blog. Spend about 30 mins playing around with photoshop: vectored a cage and a crow, found my font, and ta da~

I was considering adding a bit of colour on the links and etc, but decided against it, I like everything in crisp B&W. I'll let my photos do the colouring instead :)

Blue Skies and Sun Licked Skin

Weather in Toronto has been a blast! Nothing makes me more happy then prancing around in shorts while feeling the sun warming up my skin.

I'm usually around the Fashion District of Toronto, pretty much my second home lol. But my friend, JH, and I decided to adventure around Lakeshore. I have a fascination with boats and waters for some reason hahahha.

shrug: H&M | top: GAP | shorts: F21 | boots: WINNERS
the first photo shows you how pale i am: the reflected grass made my face green LOL

Hope you have a good weekend!
